I am a classical guitar teacher with over 10 years experience. I have worked as a peripatetic teacher in numerous Bromley primary and secondary Schools as well as giving private lessons. I also have many years experience working for the Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT).
I have experience preparing students for Classical Guitar Practical exams (trinity Guildhall) and have a high degree of success. I teach from grade 1 to 8.
I have recently moved back to Walworth.
Students will learn to read music, receive sound technical instruction and also learn how to express themselves musically as they advance.
I will initially use course books, moving on to the graded system in order to provide a gradual increase in difficulty. Technical exercises, including scales and arpeggios, will be studied along side pieces.
lesson pricing is as follows:

Requirements for lessons:
A classical guitar is required to begin lessons although I can provide one for the first few lessons if you are unsure if you wish to make a regular commitment. I recommend either a full size or three-quarter size classical guitar depending on the age/size of you or your child. I can advise as to the best option depending on the student’s body frame and hand size.
A foot stool is also required which I can provide at cost price; around £8.
I can provide all materials (i.e. sheet music, course books and technical exercises) at cost price.
Regular practice is required; a minimum of 20 minutes per day in order to make meaningful progress.
Typically a student would receive a weekly lesson.
